GenieTown is an online marketplace for connecting local, specialized service providers and consumers. People can offer any kind of local service. Customers who need services can create a project and service providers, called Genies, then respond directly and tailor their offer based on the opportunity.

Service Providers/Genies also rank each other based on experience.

Founded by a group of Stanford entrepreneurs in late 2006, GenieTown is funded by angel investors and is located in Palo Alto, CA.
