MicroGiving was started by Advertising.com co-founder John Ferber and is a website dedicated to direct online person-to-person giving from the heart to those in need. MicroGiving takes the person-to-person lending model seen in Prosper and Kiva, but focuses on 100% giving to people who are immediate need.

MicroGiving’s goal is to provide, facilitate and empower individual charitable donations. MicroGiving does this by giving its members the ability to pick, choose and give directly to anyone in need, no matter how much money one has to give.
Through MicroGiving 100% of donations go directly to those who need your help now. There is no one month approval process like most of their competitors, instead donations are immediately given to the recipients moments after the doner submits their donation.
