MindTouch is an open-source wiki platform company that sells support for their free and open source product: Deki Wiki.
MindTouch Deki WIki is used primarily by enterprises or as a wiki publishing and social media platform for online media brands. MindTouch products are used by a variety of companies, ranging from small enterprises to research institutions and government agencies. Some of its customers include the United States Army, the Department of Defense, British Petroleum, EMC2, and others.
The product comes as a downloadable application in a pre-installed and pre-configured VMware image, or as a do-it-yourself source code package for installing on your own servers. Also announced in February 2008 was Wik.is, a free and ad-free, hosted offering.
MindTouch wikis are especially good for users who want to implement rich media or for enterprises who want to connect several applications through a wiki interface. MindTouch Deki Wiki allows users to create composite applications and data mashups. Moreover, users can insert Flickr Slideshows, maps and directions and even access their databases from their wiki.
