Mobivox attempts to allow users to have VOIP-style pricing and service via their existing landlines and mobile phones. Mobivox users upload their contacts through Mobivox and then dial a local access number that voice dials the recipient; the caller pays nothing if they are calling another Mobivox member and only 2 cents a minute to most locations to non-Mobivox members. The service competes with existing VOIP players like Skype, PeerMe, and Jajah.

Mobivox provides VOIP calling via existing landlines and cell phones. A user is required to upload their list of contacts via mobivox.com and then dial a local access number and inform “VoxGirl” who you would like to call via voice. Mobivox also allows its users to do conferencing, make group calls, and transfer calls to their home phone from their cell phone.
