Qloud

Qloud (pronounced “cloud”) is an online music service launched by Steve Case’s Revolution LLC with backing from many former music industry exectuives. The service allows users to enjoy and share their music collections within their favorite social networks. The company currently powers the My Music application on Facebook, and is also a launch partner in Google’s OpenSocial initiative which will enable them to roll out similar applications to other social networks. In addition to playing back a user’s library, Qloud also enables users to browse friends’ music libraries to see what they are listening to presently.

The My Music application has over 1 MM users as of November 2007 and competes with similar social music services like Last.FM,iLike, imeem, and Pandora.
