Viewpoints.com is a peer reviews site that allows users to post and search for reviews across 20+ categories and counting. Users can filter reviews by normal settings (highest/lowest rating, most reviewed) as well as by “I am…” statements reviewers provide when posting their critique. So, for instance a fuel conscious car shopper can see which vehicles were most reviewed, highest rated, lowest rated by like-minded consumers.

Users submitting reviews can earn reputation points by providing reviews that were tagged as “uniquely helpful” by readers, and based on the number of posts and uniquely helpful tags reviewers can move up the scale from Writer I-IV and into the Publisher’s Circle. Reviewers can also build friends and fans in order to qualify for “A Simple Thanks” awards for their efforts.

Viewpoints.com also allows other publishers to syndicate their own review content to the Viewpoints.com community. One of the main contributors from outside of Viewpoints.com is Orbitz, who syndicated their 20,000+ hotel reviews to the site when it launched in beta in fall 2007.

Viewpoints.com competes with other peer review aggregators like Yelp and CrowdStorm.
