It distributes products across different consumer groups (A/B test) and provides recommendations about where the company should spend their marketing dollars. Clients include Proctor & Gamble and Unilever. BeautyArmy has been featured on the Today Show, TIME Magazine,
and almost every Hearst Media and Conde Nast publication.
The online beauty and personal care market is a $6B industry (USA, 2012 total revenues) and is growing at a rate of 35%. The buying process is online for these products is dismal and consumers waste significant time and money buying the wrong products.
BeautyArmy expanded its recommendation platform to a full-size e-commerce shop in January of 2014 and saw incredible metrics:
