Klaas Kersting

Klaas Kersting (29) is a co-founder of Gameforge. In December 2003, while still a student, Kersting established the gaming company in Karlsruhe, Germany, together with Alexander Roesner. More recently, Klass founded flaregames, a mobile game development company.

In June 2004, Kersting graduated with a degree in international economics. Today the company employs more than 400 people and offers more than 12 games in over 50 languages. With more than 65 million registered players, Gameforge has become the leading independent developer and publisher of online games worldwide.

In 2008 Klaas Kersting became ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’. Gameforge was awarded ‘Red Herring 100 Europe’, and ‘Technology Fast 50 Rising Stars’. Furthermore, the company was selected ‘Technology Pioneer 2009’ by the World Economic Forum.
