Connecting academia with the business community and with the local, state, and federal government through innovation and commercialization will provide short- and long-term benefits to Colorado Springs and the surrounding
area. The original El Pomar grant endowed three prestigious chairs in the Colleges of Business and Engineering at UCCS, and established the EPIIC office. EPIIC will continue to operate as a focal point for an alliance among high-tech companies, entrepreneurs, community leaders, the University of Colorado, and the El Pomar Foundation.
