Now in its 23rd year, the Oklahoma Business Roundtable serves as the state’s primary economic development “support” organization – providing vital funding to assist business retention, expansion, recruitment and company start-up efforts. They are a 501(c)(6)Today, non-profit organization which supports the work of their Governor, Lt. Governor, Commerce Department and statewide partners.

It takes all of us, public and private, working together for the common good, to make a difference in their state. The desire to be a part of Oklahoma’s innovative economic solution is what draws their members, who represent key manufacturing, financial, energy, education and development organizations.

The Roundtable helps fund important business promotion activities to spur the expansion and recruitment of new business in Oklahoma. This includes hosting prospects, site location consultants and dignitaries; assisting trade and investment missions; promoting Oklahoma; providing marketing materials; and sponsoring business development events when state appropriated monies cannot be used. Roundtable members also play a key role in contacting and hosting both domestic and international clients.

Their support for their state’s economic development leadership assisted their efforts in creating over 7600 new jobs and 1.9 billion in investment in FY 2014. What will this year bring?
