Clients pay annual fees ranging from $60,000 to $6.6 million depending on company size, and automatically receive rights to the entire RPX patent portfolio.

As of September 30, 2012, RPX had invested over $500 million to acquire more than 2,950 US and international patent assets and rights, and had a client network of 128 members active in seven key sectors: consumer electronics and PCs, E-commerce and software, financial services, media content and distribution, mobile communications and devices, networking, and semiconductors. RPX promises it will never assert patents or patent rights in its portfolio.
