Entrepreneur and tech industry leader Alex Bouaziz is best known as the co-founder and CEO of Deel, the leading payroll and HR platform for global teams. Alex grew up in Paris and holds degrees from Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Since co-founding Deel in 2019, Bouaziz has grown the company
to 6,500+ team members worldwide in 100+ countries, with 37,000+ customers across 150+ countries.
Under his leadership, Deel has completed 13 strategic acquisitions and secured more than US$1billion in venture funding, including a Series E US$300 million round, as it scaled into a business currently valued at US$17.3 billion.
Before founding Deel, Bouaziz gained extensive experience in engineering and early-stage company building. He co-founded multiple technology ventures, leading operations and product development for both consumer and B2B businesses. During this period, he spent several years navigating international hiring and cross-border compliance challenges, directly shaping the thesis behind Deel.
In parallel with his operating career, Bouaziz has made a series of early-stage startup investments including in Ramp, Kalshi, and Clickhouse.
Inspired by his time at MIT, Bouaziz’s leadership is shaped by an engineering mindset and systems thinking, with a focus on long-term design and addressing complexity at its source. He maintains a hands-on, people-first approach to company building, a philosophy as reflected in Deel’s global-first operating model. He lives in Tel Aviv, Israel with his wife and daughter.
