Alex Samoylovich is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CEDARst Companies, an integrated real estate developer based in Chicago. He has helped build a multifamily portfolio valued at more than 4 billion dollars and more than 7,500 units in markets such as Chicago, San Diego, Portland, Minneapolis, and Cleveland.
Alex is also the Founder and
Executive Chairman of Proper., a national residential property management platform formed with TriSpan to bring scale, centralized staffing, and modern technology to independent operators. In parallel, he founded Livly, a multifamily operating system that centralizes resident experience and property operations through software, automation, and data.
A former equity and options trader, Alex blends capital markets discipline with long term, design focused neighborhood investment. He was recognized on Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” list in 2016.
