Array’s CEO since 2007, Carl Davis has applied his keen understanding of business drivers to pave a new way at the firm. He has used his business savvy to identify gaps in Array’s service offerings, helping to roll out the consulting firm Array Advisors and founding Array Analytics. Array’s Advisors’ group teams with healthcare clients to solve
strategic business problems and develop methods to improve efficiency and utilization. Array Analytics, a technology subsidiary of Array, is focused on helping healthcare systems identify and contextualize data to inform strategic planning. Together, these integrated services align data scientists, financial analysts, advisors and architects to provide a complete continuum of project exploration and execution for healthcare clients.
Carl has helped create one of the largest healthcare-only design firms in the country, an achievement derived from his ability to not only think strategically, but also to think outside the box. He currently leads the development of Array Analytics’ premier product Pivotal, a dynamic master planning and strategic optimization cloud platform for healthcare business planning. The first purpose-built platform to provide a unified, end-to-end solution for healthcare strategic and business planners, Pivotal is emblematic of Array’s greater ethos: providing remarkable, strategy-driven, business justified solutions for healthcare clients.
Beyond setting Array’s strategic vision, Carl also ensures that project teams have the resources necessary to deliver on it. His keen understanding of financial drivers is an essential resource for ensuring healthcare clients and project delivery teams arrive upon sustainable solutions to design, care delivery, and organizational challenges. Carl’s strategic leadership has led national AEC organizations to seek him out for speaking engagements on topics ranging from innovative project delivery methods, to thought leadership and growth strategies.
Before assuming the CEO role at Array, Carl began his career at the Department of Defense developing and implementing financial systems across the globe. His entrepreneurial drive to build businesses led him to facilitate strategic and financial planning initiatives for several engineering and architectural firms. The rest, as they say, is history.
