When not tearing up the MTB trails in the renowned Pisgah National Forest, Chris Cosgrove can often be found poring over maps/spreadsheets/random data. The self-proclaimed nerd loves putting together plans and operations; whether it’s for work or planning family travel, logistics are not just his business, they’re his passion. Well, that
and riding bikes! Born near Baltimore, Cosgrove headed the warmer climes of North Carolina to attend Wake Forest University. After graduating in 2009, he relocated to the outdoor playgrounds of Asheville, where he remains today with his wife Juliette and son Eli. That’s where his adoration of all things cycling took root and continues to grow to this day. In 2015 he started working in the cycling logistics industry with a well-known shipping company specializing in getting triathletes’ bikes to events all over the world. Along with Taylor Essick and Tony Eggers, his current Kitzuma partners, Cosgrove was an integral part in making that brand the largest and most successful in its field. The trio went on to co-found Kitzuma in 2020.
