Dominik started programming on QBasic when he was 13 years old. In college he launched a shopping site featuring millions of products. He then used the profits from that shopping site to launch WebHostingUnleashed.com, the most popular web hosting review site of the time.
Dominik earned a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from UIUC.
At the age of 21 he met Brad Folkens. Together they created a popular site search engine, JRank; a college directly, StateUniversity.com; and other websites which in aggregate reached over 100 million visitors annually. After that Brad and Dominik created the first successful Visual Search Engine, CamFind, which beat out Google Goggles. The company later became a B2B AI image recognition company called CloudSight (CloudSight.ai) which has successfully annotated over 750 million images, and has curated the largest perfectly labeled dataset in the world for the purpose of utilizing those images for training neural networks. CloudSight became a very early partner with Google Cloud Marketplace.
In his spare time, Dominik explores the LA’s skyline. He is a privately licensed helicopter pilot.
