Secure's acquisition by Open Source focussed Hortonworks, Inc. XA Secure product was donated to Apache Software Foundation and now it is called Apache Ranger. Bosco is still an active member of the open source community.
Bosco through his current startup, Privacera, is trying to tackle the new challenges caused by data explosion and liberal sharing of sensitive data within enterprises. Privacera approach is data centric, which "follows the data" and protects them from malicious users and accidental data policy violations. In the process, Privacera is also bridging the chasm between the security team, data owners, and compliance officers to provide a more effective and frictionless end-to-end security for sensitive and personal data.
