Edward J. Minskoff serves as the President of Edward J. Minskoff Equities, Inc. In May 1994, in a joint venture with Odyssey Partners, L.P. and The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (OTRS), Mr. Minskoff's company acquired the 43-story, 1 million square-foot IBM Building at 590 Madison Avenue in New York City from International Business
Machines Corporation. In addition to the acquisition of the IBM Building, he completed the development of Roosevelt Center, a 600,000 square foot commercial/retail complex in Hempstead, Long Island, New York. His firm also developed 1325 Avenue of the Americas, a 800,000 square foot office building in midtown New York City, and completed construction of a 414,000 square foot office building at 101 Avenue of the Americas. In Bethesda, MD., his company acquired Marriott Corporation's 866,000 square foot World Headquarters. He submitted a proposal to acquire the New York Coliseum property from the MTA in a joint venture with the Lefrak Organization and D.L.J. Real Estate Capital Partners, L.P. Before founding his own company in 1987, Mr. Minskoff, as Chief Executiv Officer and Principal of Olympia & York, was responsible for all acquisitions, new development, leasing and financial planning throughout North America. During his tenure there, he was responsible for 16 new projects (23 million square feet) with an estimated development cost of $3.5 billion. New York's 7.5 million square foot World Financial Center was among these projects. Combining acquisition and development, Mr. Minskoff built Olympia & York's office portfolio to over 43 million square feet prior to forming his own company in 1987. In 1976, he arranged what remains the largest private real estate acquisition in U.S. history, in terms of present value and total office space - the purchase by Olympia & York of properties of the Uris Building Corporation from National Kinney. He brought the principals together, provided the financial and real estate analyses and supervised the entire transaction, which involved eight Manhattan office buildings with 11 million square feet of space, for S350 million - a transaction that appreciated in value to in excess of S3.5 billion in 1986. Mr. Minskoff is a Member of the following professional organizations: Trustee and Chairman of Real Estate & Construction at NYU Langone Medical Center; Subcommittee of the Financial Issues Committee; Executive Committee of Finance and Budget; Committee of Joint Trustee Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee. He is a Vice Chair of Board of Trustees at NYU School of Medicine Foundation. He is a Member of Board of Directors at NYU Cancer Institute and Advisory Board at NYU Real Estate Institute. He is a Member of Advisory Board at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Planning, Real Estate Development. He is the Founder of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He serves as a Member of Director at Real Estate Board of New York. He is a Board Member at Partnership for New York City. He is a Member of Executive Committee at Association of Builders and Owners Association for a Better New York. He is a Member of Urban Land Institute, Mixed/Use Council; Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) - Board of Trustees Metropolitan Museum of Art, Real Estate Council and Metropolitan Museum of Art, Friends of Modern Art.
