Gina is Managing Director at Golden Seeds. Globally experienced, Ms. Tedesco’s career of 28 years includes co-founding 3 successful start-up ventures, overseas postings in finance and M&A with a global pharmaceutical company in Paris, France, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, and industry expertise in internet technology, software as a service technology,
biotech, pharmaceuticals, and education.
Currently, Ms. Tedesco is a managing member of Amala Ventures, a venture firm investing in early-stage companies with diverse teams and innovative and disruptive technology in the USA and Brazil. Ms. Tedesco is also a member and board member of Jumpstart NJ Angel Network, a private, member-lead, angel group that invests in early-stage technology companies in the Mid-Atlantic region, and a member of Golden Seeds, a network of angel investors dedicated to investing in early-stage companies founded and/or led by women.
She serves on the boards of several private companies and has served as a trustee of a non-profit education foundation. She is a member of the Advisory Board for the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship at Fairleigh Dickinson University, lectures as an Adjunct Professor, teaching graduate courses in Entrepreneurial Finance as well as the MBA Business Ventures Capstone and is a frequent guest lecturer and mentors at Techlaunch, the New Jersey Technology Accelerator and Aceleratech, the leading accelerator in Brazil.
Fluent in English, French, and Portuguese, Ms. Tedesco earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (Pi Tau Sigma) and an MBA in International Business with a concentration in Finance from The George Washington University (Magna cum Laude) as well as an additional post-MBA concentration certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
