Ms. Orndorff has 29 years experience in technology and business development in the biotechnology industry. She has been President and CEO of Evolutionary Genomics since it was founded in May 2000 and, prior to that, succeeded Mr. Collins (see below) as President and CEO of GenoPlex in Denver, Colorado after service as Vice President of Business
Development then Chief Operating Officer of GenoPlex. Prior to GenoPlex, she was Director of Technology Development, then Business Development with NeXstar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado. Before going to NeXstar, Ms. Orndorff was Director of Biotechnology Programs at the Colorado Advanced Technology Institute (CATI) in Denver, where she created several industry-academic alliances, including the Colorado Biomedical Venture Center, The Colorado Bioprocessing Center, and the Colorado RNA Center. Ms. Orndorff started in the biotechnology industry at Genex Corporation from 1979 through 1987, where she was a laboratory manager then managed the Technology Assessment group. Ms. Orndorff has a B.S. in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz; a M.A. in Microbiology from California State University, San Jose; and a M.B.A. from Loyola College.
