J.J. Colao is the founder of Haymaker, a New York City PR firm that works with fast-growing technology companies like Grubhub, Handy, SeatGeek, and Mark43. He also founded the Tech Press Meetup, a 900-member group that organizes quarterly events for the media and tech community in New York.
Before starting Haymaker, J.J. worked as a staff reporter
covering entrepreneurs and startups for Forbes magazine. He wrote the magazine's 2014 cover story on Snapchat, along with profiles of WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg and author Steve Blank. He ran Forbes’ “Most Promising Companies” list, an annual ranking of the country's best young businesses.
