Jason Eriksen, PhD is a Co-Founder of Alzeca Biosciences, Inc. and serves as its Chair of Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Eriksen serves as Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Houston. He is a specialist in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders including Down Syndrome, Parkinson’s
disease and cerebral strokes. Dr. Eriksen is a co-inventor of ADx. Previously, Dr. Eriksen contributed significant initial research to the development of the drug Flurizan, a selective amyloid-lowering agent (“SALA”), which underwent very broad global testing through Clinical Phase III studies and was the subject of the largest AD focused clinical trial to date. He received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Loyola University and served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL.
