Prof. Gou (Dept. of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Central Florida, Orlando) is a Founder and an Advisior for Segana. Dr. Gou is a Professor and Director of Composite Materials and Structures Laboratory at UCF and his research focuses on Polymer nanocomposites with the goal of developing new material formulation and synthesis,
processing and manufacturing techniques for structural and multifunctional applications. Dr. Gou has developed some innovative synthesis, processing and manufacturing techniques for polymer nanocomposites, including the spray-infiltration process to make polymer nanocomposites film and 3D printing process to make polymer nanocomposites products. He has developed polymer nanocomposites feedstock for an extrusion-based 3D printing and polymer nanocomposite particles for selective laser sintering (SLS) process. Dr, Gou has also developed shape memory polymer (SMP) nanocomposite-based filaments of fused deposition modeling (FDM) for 4D printing.
