Over his career, Mr. Minella has started and sold several businesses to public companies. In 1996, he founded Subrogation Partners, a company specializing in insurance claims recovery.
Over 12 years, Mr. Minella grew the company to over 100 employees and recovered in excess of $500 million for over 100 clients, including insurance companies and
governmental entities such as state insurance and liquidation funds.
In 2008, he sold the company to Aon, the largest publicly-traded insurance broker in the world, and the company changed its name to Aon Recovery. While leading Subrogation Partners, Mr. Minella raised a $100 million investment fund to purchase subrogation claims from insurance carriers.
Mr. Minella is an expert in insurance, in identifying new avenues to increase the value and amount recovered from various financial claims, and in developing distinctive ways to finance these “undiscovered assets”. In all of his ventures, he has leveraged technology, software and consistent operational execution to deliver compelling client results.
Mr. Minella’s governing philosophy of “doing well while doing good” emphasizes identifying and solving client problems while giving back, as evidenced by the company’s commitment to supporting military veterans through Fulcrum Partners.
Mr. Minella has held title of President of Essex Insurance Limited of Hamilton, Bermuda, Senior Vice President of US Capital Insurance of NY and President of Universal Claims Administration of CA.
