Lloyd is a technology entrepreneur, corporate executive, board advisor & non-executive director with 24 years of experience building digital businesses in 8 industries - healthcare, cyber security, retail, travel, finance, automotive, advertising and dating.
He has performed senior management, C-Level & founder roles @ Hive Health,
Induction Healthcare Group PLC, Zesty, Badoo, Kelkoo, Yahoo! UK, Yahoo! Europe and various startups. His operational experience ranges from start-ups to scale-ups, corporates to FTSE AIM and Nasdaq listed companies.
Lloyd has achieved various exits in the last 24 years as a company founder, member of the senior management team, early-stage employee and angel investor:
1) March 2004 - Kelkoo acquired by Yahoo! for $575M (early stage kelkoo employee) 2) November 2008 - Kelkoo acquired by Jamplant Private Equity $100M (senior mgt team at kelkoo) 3) Sept 2014, October 2016 - Consumer Internet & eCommerce exits $12M, $28M (angel investor) 4) November 2019 - Badoo acquired by Blackstone for $3 Billion (early stage badoo employee) 5) May 2020 - Zesty acquired by Induction Healthcare Group PLC $20M (co-founder at Zesty)
He co-founded Zesty in June 2012, building the company through multiple investment rounds from leading European & US Venture Capital funds into an award-winning UK Digital Health company and sale to Induction Healthcare Group PLC in May 2020 (FTSE AIM: INHC).
Lloyd co-founded Hive Health, a healthcare cyber security startup in June 2021 enabling hospitals and health systems to protect their critical infrastructure and patient data, understand their clinical risk profile and meet regulatory compliance.
Lloyd’s investment fund advisory board experience consists of various early stage and growth stage healthcare & technology funds including Octopus Ventures Health fund, Deepbridge Capital Life Sciences fund and Nova Capital Growth fund.
He is currently a non-executive director for a portfolio of digital MSK, veterinary telemedicine, NHS workforce management, health IT marketing & public relations companies.
Lloyd supports Cambridge Judge Business School and UCL Global Business School for Health by advising students on digital health panels, judging MBA projects & advising on company fundraises.
