Michael Fernandez was elected as a Director in October 1995. Mr. Fernandez has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MBF Healthcare Partners, L.P., a private equity firm focused on investing in healthcare service companies, since February 2005.
He also served as the Chairman of Simply Healthcare Holdings until its recent acquisition
by Anthem, Inc. in February 2015, and Navarro Discount Pharmacies, LLC until its acquisition by CVS Caremark in September 2014. Michael Fernandez has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Miami and was on the Board of Directors of various private entities, including Healthcare Atlantic, Inc., a holding company that operates various healthcare entities.
