Mike Kyriacou is a serial entrepreneur with 15+ years’ experience building, investing in, negotiating and advising startups, accelerators and venture capital funds.
He graduated First Class Honors (Summa Cum Laude) in Electronic Systems
Engineering, has a Masters in Strategy & Finance from UNSW (Australia's Top Business School) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from Santa Clara University (Silicon Valley).
Mike previously cofounded Strattica Labs, a San Francisco Bay Area FinTech, which was headed by the ex-CEO of American Express Bank in Europe with a pipeline of institutions which themselves total $120Bn in assets under management.
Mike is now the founder and CEO of Kopernicus Inc., a next-generation FinTech with AI that learns a company and its industry so well it can identify weaknesses, recommend opportunities and outline steps to maximize success.
Mike has been an Expert-in-Residence at Bootstrap Labs (San Francisco Applied AI Venture Fund), and CORE Start (Venture Accelerator for the Australian Resources Sector), and for several years was on the advisory board of Santa Clara University Business School, Edith Cowan School of Engineering and WA Innovation Bay Ambassador.
He is a Berkeley SCET Global Ambassador, has taught Advanced Topics in Machine Learning at Berkeley as an Industry Fellow, and Business Models at Stanford University.
In 2020 Mike's original contribution to the Positive Deviance field, termed General Positive Deviance (GPD) was highlighted in the Best of Berkeley SCET showcase, and led to the development of the core technology behind the Kopernicus engine.
