Paul is a partner with McConnell Johnson Real Estate, LLC and began his career in real estate development in 1974. Since that time he has developed office buildings, residential and apartment communities, and industrial parks. His development projects of the past 38 years total over 5 million square feet.
In 1989, Paul started The McConnell
Companies, Inc. primarily to purchase and develop land. That state evolved into projects that included 600 acres of residential home sites, one apartment community, one town home community, and Centerpoint Industrial Park, which has over 1 million square feet and is owned and managed by McConnell Development, Inc. today.
In 2002 and 2005, Paul led a team of investors in the purchase of 1201 N. Market Street, Delaware’s tallest building with 500,000 square feet and Hercules Plaza, a city landmark with over 500,000 square feet of space and a newly renovated 12-story atrium.
Paul is an active member of the community, with direct involvement in many local organizations. He is Chairman of the Board for Layton Preparatory School in New Castle, DE, Member of the Board for Nativity Preparatory School in Wilmington, DE, and Member of the Board and Development Committee for St. Edmond’s Academy in Wilmington, DE. He is also the founder of the school’s Opportunity Fund.
Paul represents Rockford Capital as a V.i. Labs Director and is Executive Chairman of FMP Media Solutions, he is a Member of the Board for the following organizations; Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, First State Innovation, and The Siegfried Group, LLP.
Paul also belongs to the British American Business Council, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Chilean American Chamber of Commerce, the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce, and the Delaware Business Round Table.
