Reza is the CEO of Xenio Systems, a venture-backed Silicon Valley startup that’s applying commercial IoT to solve a massive pain point in brick and mortar retail marketing.
He’s the founder and former CEO/Chairman of iControl Networks, the leading platform for mass-market interactive home security and automation offerings from ADT
(Pulse), Comcast (Xfinity Home), TWC, Rogers, Cox and many others. iControl raised over $130M in venture capital and was acquired by Comcast.
Prior to iControl, Reza was at Echelon Corporation, where he pioneered and drove the company’s initial Internet strategy. His seminal work at Echelon in the late 90’s in marrying sensors and devices to the Internet laid the groundwork for not only iControl but also many other IoT and cloud-based products and businesses that today leverage the power of remote connectivity and control.
Prior to Echelon, Reza worked at IBM for four years as a development engineer as well as a member of an IBM Fellow group.
He is the recipient of the 2014 CEA Innovation Entrepreneur Award – Executive of the Year. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Consumer Electronics Association's Home Networking and IT Division as well as a Founding Board Member of the UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) Steering Committee.
Reza holds 34+ US and international patents. He received a BSEE from Stony Brook and a MSEE from Cornell University.
