Mr. Kelly is the Retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xcel Energy Inc., a utility supplier of electric power and natural gas service in eight Western and Midwestern States. He became President of Xcel Energy in 2003, Chairman, CEO and President in 2005 and Chairman and CEO in 2009, holding that position until his retirement in September
2011. At Xcel Energy, Mr. Kelly gained considerable experience as a customer of the railway services required to transport coal to power the company’s coal-fired generation plants.
