Dr. S. Ryan Facer is cofounder and Chief Product Officer of Udo.
Throughout his career, Dr. Facer has remained passionate in his pursuit to find new and innovative ways to connect doctors to patients and patients to doctors through the use of better technology. He has spent the last 10 years breaking down the barriers of institutional care, the
boundaries insurance payers have set, and the causative effects of medical miscommunication on humanity.
As a result, Dr. Facer, along with cofounder Danny Frasure, have made it their life mission to launch Udo and UdoCare to inspire and change the landscape of health care, and distill it down to what matters most: better care through better communication and collaboration.
Dr. Facer also cofounded US Endodontic Partners, the first National Endodontic Partnership group in the United States. This organization's impact is already being felt by the endodontic industry and has set the standard of specialty service partnerships by putting patients first in such a way where the best and brightest endodontics talents come together in a thru partnership, preserving doctor autonomy exposure to best-in-practice techniques and protocol to offer patients the best the industry has to offer.
Dr. Facer also sits on the scientific advisory board for Sonendo, one of California’s fastest growing life science companies aimed at changing the way endodontics is performed. As their medical advisor and a sought-after key opinion leader, Dr. Facer has helped innovate and develop novel ways of using Sonendo's GentleWave technology across the vast technical challenges of saving teeth while preserving the inherent integrity and strength of the tooth.
Dr. Facer’s research background extends into adult research where he was the first to bring together the college of medicine to the college of dentistry in a cross-collegiate study, focusing on growing undifferentiated 3D cellular aggregates to accelerate bone-cell mineralization rates at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Facer’s capacity to innovate and develop products aimed at healing humanity and connecting people is inspiring, to say the least.
