Venkatesh Kini is co-founder of Ubuntoo, a (pending) certified B Corp. Ubuntoo digital collaboration platform that connects the world’s changemakers to accelerate the UN Sustainable Development Goals, beginning with solutions to plastic pollution. Venkatesh holds 30 years of experience in marketing and general management with some of the world’s
most reputable brands and corporations.
Prior to founding Ubuntoo, Venkatesh served as President, India and Southwest Asia, for The Coca-Cola Company. In his 19 years with The Coca-Cola Company, Venkatesh led major brand launches and marketing campaigns in India and globally, including Sprite, Thums Up and Minute Maid. Before assuming the role of President, Venkatesh served as the Head of Global Marketing for Juices at The Coca-Cola Company headquarters in Atlanta. During this time, he scaled Minute Maid to over 50 countries, building it into a multibillion-dollar global brand. In his earlier role as Head of Global Marketing for Bottled Water, Venkatesh enabled Coca-Cola to become a Top 3 company in the bottled water category globally.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Venkatesh worked for ITC and Asian Paints in India. He has held leadership positions in the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), and the American Chamber of Commerce in India (Amcham India). In addition, he served as a charter member of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE), the largest entrepreneurial organization in the world.
Venkatesh is based in Atlanta with his wife and children, where he is an active environmentalist and enjoys working in social entrepreneurship as an angel investor and startup mentor.
He holds a Masters in Business Management from IIM Ahmedabad and a Bachelors in Economics from Delhi University.
