Mr. Yiwen HUANG is the founder and CEO of R2.ai. He started his journey in AI by developing a cutting-edge chemistry AI application 20 years ago. Since then he has held key R&D and product management positions with Sybase, SAP and Teradata. He has over 20-year experiences in big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence. He wrote his
first neural network model in 1990s. In Sybase, he had added amazing features to database core engine optimization module in Sybase ASE, and managed the development of the first commercial columnar database, Sybase IQ. In Teradata, he directed the development of the first distributed ML platform, Teradata Aster. Yiwen HUANG holds a master degree in computer science from Arizona State University and received business training from Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley.
