Mr. ZHU Linan founded Legend Capital in 2001, and is now the CEO, Managing Director, and member of the Executive Committee, Management Committee and Investment Committee of the firm. He is also the Board Director, President and member of Executive Committee of Legend Holdings, and Non-executive Director of Lenovo Group.
Mr. Zhu has over 18
years’ experience and wide personal network within the IT industry. His experience in business development, investment management, financial management, HR management and IT system building of business enterprises, and the successful record as an entrepreneur and small business owner, have brought unique values to Legend Capital. The philosophy of “Partners with Common dream and Values Realize Vision together and Share the Success” and “Pursuing Fortune of Value” proposed by Mr. Zhu since LC’s birth has been the cultural foundation that guarantees LC’s future development.
Mr. Zhu has been a dedicated venture capitalist for over ten years. He has led investments in Joyo.com, Shanghai Huahong, Zhaopin.com, SolarFun (Now Hanwha SolarOne (NASDAQ:HSOL)), Saturday Shoes (002291.SZ), Peak Sports (01968.HK), Phylion Batteries, and Yuto Printing, etc. and still represents Legend Capital on Boards of public companies like Saturday Shoes and Peak Sports.
Mr. Zhu started his career with Legend in 1989, when he joined Shenzhen Legend Computer Ltd. and rose to General Manager of the company. In 1993, Mr. Zhu left Legend Group to start a venture engaged in IT system integration and software development business. After four years in 1997, he rejoined Legend Group and served in succession as General Manager of Business Planning, Vice President and Senior Vice President of the Group. As a member of the Group’s Executive Committee, he was responsible for business development of Lenovo Group, and the management of headquarters and regional platforms.
Mr. Zhu holds a Master's degree in E.E. from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and is a certified Senior Engineer. He enjoys an honorary allowance granted by the State Council.
