Allan R. Will has served on XTENT's board of directors since July 2002 and as Chairman of XTENT's board of directors from July 2002 to October 2004. Mr. Will also served as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Concentric Medical from 2001 to 2002, as Chief Executive Officer of Evalve from 1999 to 2000, as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AneuRx from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Will also serves on the boards of several privately-held medical device companies. Mr. Will holds a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Previously, Allan was president and CEO of AneuRx, Inc., a developer of stent grafts for aortic aneurysms acquired by Medtronic, Inc. in 1996. While at AneuRx, Allan and AneuRx founder Thomas Fogarty, M.D., co-founded Adjacent Surgical, Inc., which was sold to General Surgical Innovations, Inc. and subsequently acquired by Tyco International. Previously, as CEO of Devices for Vascular Intervention, Allan led the company from 16 employees to nearly $100 million in revenue and acquisition by Eli Lilly and Company.
Allan is an inventor on 23 issued patents for medical devices. He holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
