3D Ops is a medical modeling company that utilizes 3D printing to generate patient-specific anatomical models for surgical simulations.
3D Ops is leveraging the fiberoptic gigabyte network, local preeminent healthcare centers, educational institutions, and an entrepreneurial community to bring the technology of additive manufacturing (3D
printing) to the medical community. Using a normal MRI or CT scan, 3D Ops can generate an exact anatomical model of the specific patient anatomy for pre-surgical planning and post-surgical instruction.
Patient specific 3D models from MRIs (2 dimensional images) have been shown to reduce the duration and complexity of surgery. 3D Ops extends the imaging and surgical team by allowing them to see and carefully evaluate surgical options and even use a trial approach to the surgery prior to placing a patient on the table. 3D Ops’s products help doctors, hospitals, and imaging specialists manage risk, lower costs, and decrease time commitments from the existing surgical team.
