Help in an emergency: ADAC air rescue in action As pioneers in air rescue, we have been helping people in acute health need for almost 50 years. This is what we work for every day - with passion, a high level of commitment and many years of experience. As one of the largest air rescue organizations in Europe, we start from 37 stations on around
54,000 missions a year - 150 emergencies a day. We master these together with emergency doctors and rescue specialists from various on-site clinics, aid organizations and fire brigades. By immediately transporting the emergency doctor to the scene by rescue helicopter, we enable optimal medical care. As part of the German rescue service system, we are alerted by the control center via the emergency number 112 and are on hand in an emergency for anyone who has had an accident or is sick. Often faster than any rescue, our helicopters can reach even the most remote places, islands, mountain valleys or blocked motorways. Every mission and flight is as individual and unique as the patient and his medical treatment. A modern fleet of over 50 rescue helicopters is available for our missions, all of which meet the highest standards. We also pay attention to quality when it comes to equipment and training. Because in an emergency it is important to deliver an error-free service. This is how we bring help to people and save lives as quickly as possible.
