Agroecology Fund mobilizes and pools resources to support collaboratives that advance agroecology across practice, science and movement-building. It operates a global grantmaking program that funds grassroots networks and organizations working on food sovereignty, climate resilience, biodiversity, gender equity and rights to land and resources. The
fund uses a participatory grantmaking process in which advisors and partners nominate and review grantees, and emphasizes support for collaboratives rather than single organizations. Agroecology Fund also provides learning and exchange opportunities, including conversation circles, regional and global gatherings, and a multilingual online course on grassroots evidence for agroecology. It supports participatory action research initiatives that generate applied knowledge for agroecology and policy advocacy. Through communications and engagement with donors and institutions, it promotes the redirection of financial flows and public policies toward agroecological solutions.
