Almondy is a young and ambitious tårta bakery from Sweden, selling own brand frozen tårta to both retail and foodservice customers. Almondy was founded in Gothenburg in 1982, under the name Mandelbageriet (the Almond Bakery).
Our premium thaw and serve range is focused to 14 irresistible recipes, including Almondy original almond tårta, the
three best sellers Almondy almond tårta with DAIM, Almondy almond tårta topped with pieces of Toblerone and Almondy meringue tårta with Marabou milk chocolate. In 2012 we are launching our very own, fantastic mousse tårta range. It comes in three irresistible flavors, Almondy Mousse Lovely Lemon Curd, Almondy Mousse Creamy Chocolate Truffle and Almondy Mousse Sweet Strawberry White.
In our bakery (which also serves as head office) in Torslanda, just outside Gothenburg, we employ just over 100 bakers and we bake some 72,000 tårta every day. We also have some ‘happy bakers’ in our sales offices in Hamburg (Germany) and in London (the UK). 85% of our tårta are exported to 41 countries, mainly in Europe but also to North America, Asia and Australia.
