So, in the coverage area of the entire GSM / UMTS network from ALTEL subscribers can use the "HD-voice" technology. The network is prepared from the technical point of view to provide voice services over LTE with VoLTE technology and implement the next step in the development of 4th generation networks - LTE Advanced.
The data transmission network "ALTEL" is based on the optical network of JSC "Kazakhtelecom", uses a backbone network built on IP technology, which gives significant advantages in terms of network capacity and data transfer speed.
ALTEL became the winner in the nomination "Telecommunication breakthrough №1 - 2015 in Kazakhstan" within the framework of the national contest "Choice of the Year # 1 in Kazakhstan".
In March 2016, ALTEL merged business with Tele2 Kazakhstan, bringing the subscriber base to 6.4 million people, increasing the number of base stations to 7,000, thereby providing the widest coverage of the 4G network throughout Kazakhstan.
