AME Community Services began providing services for people with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). They have evolved from serving a small number of people with PWS to currently supporting a wide range of diseases, including autism, down's syndrome, fragile X syndrome, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and have established themselves as a well-known
and recognized provider in the Prader-Willi community. In many of these regions, they also provide in-home assistance for individuals and families. They offer a well-structured program that includes prescription foods, as well as customized activity and weight-loss programs. Each home is given a membership to a local health club by AME. Residents who participate in the workout program are rewarded. They currently have 16 residential properties in Buffalo, Monticello, Cokato, and other parts of the metro.
