In the Midwest, the “Back Forty” is a term used for the most remote section of a farm. The phrase dates back to the 1860s; when, via the Homestead Acts, farmers were granted 160 acres, subdivided into four sections of 40 acres each: two front forty and two back forty. If a farmer didn’t want to be found, he was probably somewhere out on the back
forty. While spirits and beer have come a long way since those days, they’re still an agricultural product. Back Forty Beverage brings a little bit of that farming spirit every day.
Back Forty Beverage is located in Clackamas, Oregon. Back Forty Beverage's business is built around the contract production of alcoholic beverages. The company's approach is a simple one: provide top-quality products for craft distilleries, breweries, wineries, cideries, restaurants, and distributors who need a reliable, full-service contract beverage manufacturer.
