Biotype develops, manufactures and markets molecular diagnostic kits for the detection and quantification of RNA and DNA markers. The assays support diagnosis and therapy in the areas of oncology, hemato-oncology, dermatology and forensics. In addition to commercial kits, Biotype also offers custom development and assays for molecular diagnostics.
These can be designed for different platforms and we realize projects at every stage of product development, from prototype to RUO to CE-IVD. The company's goal is to provide customers such as labs, pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies with safe and robust molecular genetic tools.
All our tests are based on PCR applications and run either on commercial qPCR devices or on our Modaplex instrument. The Modaplex system offers a novel real-time quantification process through the unique combination of PCR and simultaneous capillary electrophoresis. This technology allows the simultaneous analysis of up to 2,000 DNA / RNA targets. With little effort and a simple process all kinds of genetic deviations can be determined.
