CardioNet, Inc. (CardioNet) provides continuous, real-time ambulatory outpatient management solutions for monitoring clinical information regarding an individual's health. The Company is focused on the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias, or heart rhythm disorders, through its core Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry (MCOT), event
and Holter services. CardioNet's MCOT service incorporates a lightweight patient-worn sensor attached to electrodes, which captures two-channel ECG data, measuring electrical activity of the heart. During the year ended December 31, 2010, it marketed its solution in 49 states. As of December 31, 2010, it had secured direct contracts with 304 commercial payors. On December 21, 2010, the Company completed the acquisition of Biotel Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiaries, Braemar, Inc. and Agility Centralized Research Services, Inc.
