Despite its community college categorization, the Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska, brings the educational and research resources of a four-year university to its two-year programs.
Because of its size, the school makes it easy to get involved. Whether you’re on the stage or in the audience, the Fine and Performing Arts department
hosts many theatre, music and art performances throughout the year. You can also run for student office or join a collegiate honor society. No matter what your interests are you will learn more about yourself and working with others.
The college’s unique TRIO program offers students a variety of services, including:

The college retains an open door admissions policy to eligible students at least 16 years of age. Simply fill out an application, submit a high school transcript or GED and ACT/SAT scores to get started on the enrollment process. Students who have scored less than 19 on the ACT will be required to take an assessment exam prior to enrollment.
All students are eligible to apply for Pell grants to help cover the cost of tuition. Other financial aid programs offered by the college include Nebraska Opportunity grants, scholarships and federal student loans.
