If you’re taking four, five or even six classes in a semester, it’s hard
to find time for all the papers, projects, exams and reading. With its
unique “Block Plan,” Colorado College offers a solution to
over-scheduling. Each semester at CC consists of four blocks, and each
block consists of a single course.
The Block Plan allows you to focus
on one subject at a time, making it
easier to complete one of Colorado College’s 40 majors. Academics at CC
include some unique programs, such as Southwest Studies, as well as
pre-professional programs in Business, Law and Allied Health.
Colorado College students are heavily involved on-campus, maintaining
about 100 clubs and organizations. Community service is an important part
of college life at CC, with 80% of students participating in various
service programs.
To apply to Colorado College, submit the Common Application by January
15. The college sends out decisions by March 20 (earlier if you apply as
Early Decision or Early Action). An admissions interview, while not
required, is recommended to help the admissions committee get to know you
personally.
For priority consideration for need-based financial aid, complete the
FAFSA and CSS Profile by February 15.
