CompRex designs and produces compact heat exchangers and compact heat exchanger reactors used in chemical processing systems where thermal transfer is a core operational requirement. The units feature alternating layers of multi-channel flow paths, which result in a high surface area relative to volume. The reactors are manufactured using either
metal brazing or diffusion bonding methods, depending on operational specifications. These systems can be configured by adjusting the number of layers and channels to accommodate different throughput and process needs. Additional design configurations support use cases such as packed catalyst beds, intermittent reactant injection, and internal flow pattern adjustments. The technology is also applied in supercritical water oxidation processes, including systems for wastewater treatment involving substances such as PFAS.
