Core-LX is a crowd-sourced marketplace for digital curriculum where schools are both the subscribers and providers thus disrupting the textbook market by setting up a virtuous cycle of continual innovation. Their work is to set this cycle into motion.
They are doing this by creating a curated marketplace for the distribution of standards-aligned
educational materials. Content is organized into modular activities aligned to concrete learning objectives, enabling users to customize the learning experience. Intuitive social and analytic tools allow users to browse, to evaluate, and to select the right content for their needs.
Their customers are schools that are 1:1 where each student has a device. Their first targets are charter schools and private schools that have flexibility to experiment with new technologies. Their customers are adopters of Common Core and embrace personalized and blended learning approaches.
