A well-rounded education in the truest sense of the phrase is what Daemen College in Amherst, New York offers its students.
The majority of Daemen’s majors are professional in nature. Even in the arts there are a number of career-preparation options such as Applied Design, Arts Administration, Graphic Design and Arts Education.
Other majors
include Forensics, Psychology, History Education, Business Administration, Nursing, Physician Assistance and Social Work. Since Daemen’s educational model is a blending of practical career education and Liberal Arts academics, students get a comprehensive education in the Arts, Humanities and Sciences regardless of their major.
Through internships, research and other hands-on learning projects, Daemen also gives students practical, real-world experience.
Through community service, Daemen also fosters a sense of civic responsibility in its students.
Student life activities, which include special interest clubs, student publications and a student government, give students an opportunity to cultivate their creative side and outside interests.
Since Daemen is just a quick drive from Buffalo and within a couple of hours of Ontario, Canada, there is also much to explore well beyond the campus.
Admission to Daemen College is based on a student’s academic record, though SAT or ACT scores are not required. Admissions are on a rolling basis. Students may also apply for financial aid.
