Delaware Guidance Services for Children & Kids, Inc. (DGS) is a non-profit organisation that provides mental health services to Delaware's children and youth. They provide a continuum of mental health treatments to about 10,000 children and their families each year through clinics in Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Lewes, and Seaford. They are
part of Delaware's Division of Child Mental Health Services and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). "Provide therapeutic assistance to children, teenagers, and their families," says Delaware Guidance Services (DGS). DGS is a Delaware-based provider of outpatient mental health services for children and their families. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations granted them accreditation (JCAHO). They serve a varied range of families (38 percent African-American, 57 percent Caucasian, and 5% Hispanic), 80% receiving Medicaid and roughly 90% having family incomes under $30,000.
